Full Dress Reheasal

June 3rd, 2008 by wanyic

Yesterday, from 1 o’clock to 3 o’clock, we had our full dress rehearsal.

It was really supposed to be from 1 o’clock to 4 o’clock,

but we skipped some lecture and speech parts so we speed up.

I’m not really sure what the order of the rehearsal was, but I will kind of describe it.

Here we go:

- Elementary Choir

- Elementary Orchestra

- Senior Orchestra

- Graduation Walk

- Lecture / Speech by Elly Chao

- Kindergarten Performance

- Grade 1 and 2 performance

- Grade 3, 4, and 5 performance

- 5 girls (Nessa, Jolio, Sherwynne, Rachel, and Jessica) dancing IRONY by Wonder Girls (super cool!)

- Grade 6, 7, and 8 (Middle School) performance

- Grade 9 and 10 performance

- Grade 11 and 12 performance

- Middle School Dance Class

- Watching a small clip

Ok,  I guess that’s most of it. There is cheer leading but I really don’t know when they are performing.

There’s also an opening and a closing ceremony.

It’s kind of complicated anyways.

Our middle school performance was like the messiest and the worst of all,

but cheer leading was actually messier than Middle School.

They aren’t really organized and they don’t know what they are doing.

And as mentioned above that we still have one hour until 4 o’clock and we are very messy,

we used that one hour to practice our final dance for the last part.

The leader group (Rita, Nicole, Sandy, Ariel, and Maxine) created and taught us the dance.

It’s separated into Nerds and Gangsters since our song name is WHITE AND NERDY.

I don’t think the dance is really “white and nerdy” but it’s ok.

That’s it!

Ariel’s Birthday!!

June 3rd, 2008 by wanyic

Today is Ariel’s Birthday! First, a song:

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to Ariel,

Happy Birthday to you!!

On 6/4, my good friend in 7th grade, Ariel, is going to be 14!

I prepared a gift for her, but you won’t know unless you go to my WRETCH later on the day.

That’s because I gotta see what’s going to happen today.

I would think it would be more exciting during lunch.

Also, Ariel is going to order us drinks. Many people has been invited to order one.

I did that on my birthday, but not really on my birthday because my birthday is 4/13

and it’s a Sunday. So I had to do it on Friday!  Anyways, it doesn’t matter a lot.

Well, if you want to read what’s gonna happen today, go to my WRETCH.

But here’s a reminder: My WRETCH is a Chinese blog website, so don’t o if you don’t know Chinese!

May 20th, 2008 by wanyic

Today in computer class our teacher Mr. Hays told us to go to Cubescape

and create our own animation of CUBES! I did one with out any meaning,

but it thinks it is super cool. It would be cooled if you get to see the cubes

fall down and explode instead of just seeing them appear and disappear.

Oh, I forgot. The name of it is “Appear and Disappear”. Very simple, right?

And one more thing, the name of the creator might be a little strange since

it says “Seira”. That’s my Japanese name so don’t doubt it! Ha ha.

Here’s a photo of one of the phrases:

appear-and-disappear-cubes.GIF

If you want to see the whole animation, here’s the link:

http://www.themaninblue.com/experiment/Cubescape/load.php?id=3911

If you click into the link and you look at the top of the page,

you will see several icons, and they are:

Cubescape, Create your own cubescape, and Skip the animation.

You can click the “Create your own cubescape” to make one of your own!!

Earthquake at Szechwan

May 13th, 2008 by wanyic

On May 12th, a

gigantic

earthquake happened at Szechwan.

This earthquake has the power of 7.8,

which is really strong.

More than 12 thousand people are dead,

1600 are buried, and 60 thousand are missing.

But these are only the numbers they found on

May 12th and May 13th.

Many of the tourist visiting there are either dead, buried, or missing.

About 686 students were buried and 5 schools fell.

I feel very sorry for the people who are dead and also their parents

and their family.

This earthquake might also be a sign that the Earth is getting ready to

revenge on people for using all the resources on Earth and because

people are destroying the natural environment.

According to geographers, the reason of this gigantic earthquake is because

of the Indian and the Asian continent bumping together. This movement of

the plates must be really big to create such a large earthquake that is 7.8.

I think that we should start to treat the Earth better and that we should

respect it more an not just use all the resources, pollute the lakes and the natural

grounds and to keep the natural living things alive.

Swimming Test!

April 29th, 2008 by wanyic

On Saturday last week, I went swimming with my brother.

That is the week when we need to have our swimming test.

I am at level 3, and I haven’t pass this level for 4 or 5 times

already. I just can’t pass the frog style. It’s not my actions,

but it’s the time. I also had the test on Wednesday. The teacher

changed frog style into back style, and I passed it. I also passed

the 25 meter free style. But the teacher said that I didn’t pass

the 50 meter free style. It’s not fair! I wasn’t supposed to even

test that subject. I?was?just?one  second slower and that really

just pissed me off! But this time, the teacher didn’t ask me to do

the 50 meter free style, so I passed! I am so HAPPY~~! On the

second level, I have to learn how to dive and weltered in the water.

I know how to dive, but I don’t really know how to welter!

The Boring Spring Break

April 8th, 2008 by wanyic

Oh my god! I can’t believe that Spring Break already ended for 3 days and nothing at school is very exciting.

Spring Bread was very boring, because I didn’t go anywhere very far from my home. We were going to go to Taipei,

but my mother was too lazy to even go to SoGo. So basically this Spring Break is all writing homework at home and doing

regular routines such as cleaning up the house and etc. For the homework part, I finished my school work in the first 2

days. Then my mother finally got up to go to SoGo to buy me 2 books about how the Talmud teaches Jewish people how

to get money. It was really fun finding those books but really really boring reading them. But I managed to finish both of

them in 3 days. So, 2 days plus 3 days equals to 5 five days. And in total we have 10 days of Spring Break, so I have 5 more

days to talk about.

turnturn-not-feeling-good.jpgturnturn-dont-like-it.jpgturnturn-feeling-sad.jpgdudu6.jpgdudu1.jpg

I am going to talk about everything, but not in an order cause I just can’t remember all of them. So first, I have to wipe all

the floor of our house. Even though it is only 30 acres or so, I took about 3 hours because I had to wipe it with wet and dry

tissue. Then after the wiping and cleaning and my brother’s finish with one part of his homework, my mother took us to eat

sushi at the new store in RT Mart. It was very good. Then went I got home, I watched som TV with my mother with my

brother still writing his homework. Then I couldn’t take it because I was too boring. So, I turned on my computer and

started chatting with my friend for one hour. I did that for 2 times and that is basically what i did during the whole week

during Spring Break. So boring!!!!!!!!!!!

History Test!!

March 25th, 2008 by wanyic

Last Friday, we had our History Test!! This test is about Ancient China, and this test is the hardest one in this school year!

I wish I don’t fail it, since I studies really hard until 2:00 and I got on bed at about 2:32. But I kept rolling on my bed and

couldn’t sleep. What a disaster. Whatever. Anyways, about the test. We had the usual format: vocab, short answer, projects

we did in class, time line, essay, and extra credit. The vocab was kind of OK, not really easy, but not really hard. Then the

short answer question gets harder and harder. After the short answer questions we had to match some Confucianism

teachings with what they talk about. That one, I don’t think I got a lot of them right. Next is the hardest one, I think. Even

harder then the essay. It’s the TIME LINE. I think I TOTALLY FAILED IT. It’’s so hard. Even though it appeared on my

study guide and all and that I even studied for it, I can’t remember all of them IN ORDER. My brain couldn’t do that in ONE

DAY. After the time line is the essay. The essay was pretty hard, but not as hard as the time line, since I studied for it. On

the study guide, the are 3 essays at the back and our teacher Mr. Lex will pick one of them to test us. This time, he picked

the second one, which is about the dynastic cycle and mandate of heaven. I wrote 4 to 5 paragraphs and filled out all the lined

spaced area. My hand hurts so much that I couldn’t even move it. Then, the extra credit. Mr. Lex use our Silk Roads Project

as the base of the extra credit. We had to draw a map of the Silk Roads and label the cities on it. I forgot 3 out of 9 of them.

Also, we had to hand in our portfolios after the test. My topic is “Way Han Dynasty Used to Deal with Hostile and Potentially

threatening Neighbors”. I used the power point format to present it. I finished 36 slide of the power point, 3 pages of speech

notes, and 2 pages of bibliography. Then I have to 1-to-1 present it to Mr. Lex. I was super nervous, but I managed to get

through it. So next time, I think I will be better if we study the test weeks ago before the actual test and that we should start

our portfolio MONTHS ago, for just in case.

The Silk Roads Project!

March 18th, 2008 by wanyic

Oh my god!! This Monday, Mr.Lex came back!! h, we are going to have History Class with him again!!

turnturn-feeling-sad.jpg

But something fun is going to happen this Thursday, and that’s the Silk Roads Project!!

turnturn-congratulations.jpg
In this project, we each get one character and one city. The character has a role on the Silk Roads.

I am a Xiongnu Bandit and I steal goods from the traders on the Silk Road. But there are kings who

will try to stop me. For the city, I am the city Ch’ang-an, or present-day Xi’an. We each have to

prepare a costume for our character. As for the city, we need to make a sign for our travelers and

bring food for the travelers, or my classmates.

The cafeteria will be transfered into the Silk Road. The period we are going to be in is that Han dynasty.

I am very excited for this. But the bad thing is that after the Silk Roads Project, or on Friday, We are

going to have our History Test on Ancient China and we will have to hand our portfolio!!

turnturn-dont-know-what-to-do.jpgturnturn-busy.jpgturnturn-working-hard.jpg

I am not finished with it, but I am almost done. My topic is “Ways the Qin, Han, and Tang Dynasty use

to Prevent Hostile or Potential Threatening Neighbors”. I am going to talk about three ways. They are the

Great Wall, Heqin, or marrying princesses to other countries, and the Silk Road. I have to do my best to

finish that ANNOYING portfolio!!

My Great Wall

March 11th, 2008 by wanyic

This is the Great Wall I drew for my history class.

I think it’s ugly, so please don’t laugh.

MUN!!

March 11th, 2008 by wanyic

Model United Nations!! On March 09, after Sports Day, the Model United Nations (or MUN)

in our school went to New York for a debate with other MUN in other countries. This is the

3rd year since the MUN in our school went overseas. The leading teacher is Mr. Lex, or our

history teacher. That is the the greatest news of the whole week. Yes, THE WHOLE WEEK!!

turnturn-congratulations.jpg

No Mr.Lex for A WEEK!! Can you believe it?? I mean, his classes are really fun and all,

but you know, he just keeps on talking and keeps on talking and all class we have to copy every

word he says because he talks about things that are outside of our history textbook. Yesterday,

or Tuesday, was the first history class of the week. Our principal, Mr.Murphy, came as a substitute

and we watched a movie about the Great Wall, since we are learning about China now. I am just

so happy!!

Anyways, I wish Mr.Lex and the MUN a nice trip to there and also a nice shopping trip!!

The First Annual Sports Day of PAS!!

March 11th, 2008 by wanyic

On March 08, we had the First Annual Sports Day of PAS!! Everyone is very excited.

We need to sell things at our booth with 6 grade. We sold marshmallows, bagel, strawberry

lemonade, and a game called Ring Toss. I think we pay money instead of getting any.

And as for the race, the middle school in the green team lost terribly, but the high school

won some of the games. And another thing is that we burn the table!! Ha ha . So …

Sports Day!!

March 4th, 2008 by wanyic

Wow!!

turnturn.gif

Time just keep on going and it seems to be going faster and faster.

We are going to have our  Sports Day this Saturday, which is March 08.

It is just so bad!! Do you know what my subjects are??

First, the 50 meter dash, which was kind of OK, even though I know I am going to be the last.

Well, anyways, the 50 meter dash isn’t the worst thing.

I have to run the “1600 METER RELAY”. And letting it be a relay is no good.

Do you know who I am running with??

Andy, Tony, me, and Ariel. Ariel is the faster and best runner in this group.

But imagine! I am with Andy, who is even slower than ME, and also Tony,

who is also slower than ME. And also, Tony is really really FAT.

dudu41.jpgturnturn-feeling-sad.jpg

I just can’t believe it. I think I am going to DIE.

Then, things start to turn better and better. But not very very better.

I am the BENCH for the TEACHER V.S STUDENT!!

But the good thing is that I am the bench for Jolio and she is very strong.

So unless Mr.Murphy sits on her or one of the fat and large boy bump her out,

I don’t thing that she will get hurt.

turnturn1.gif

Also , we will have to create a booth by ourselves. Our topic is “Baking marshmallows”,

which is normal, and something called “HUMAN BASKETBALL”. The BOYS got that idea.

Anyways, I think I forgot to mention that Grade 6 and 7 are creating a booth together.

We didn’t even get our materials and it is already Wednesday!! We have to quickly find a

a way to organize it. Oh my god. I feel so bad because the work is basically all done by the

GIRLS  and the boys haven’t done anything yet.

turnturn-not-feeling-good.jpg

The other thing is that we need to find away to keep track of the money. I was the treasury

last year. We don’t know if we will get any profit or not because the Weather Forecast says

that it is going to rain on Saturday. I am not sure if I want it to rain or not. If it does rain, we

do our booths indoor and have events at the cafeteria.

Anyways, I wish that we will have fun on that day!!!

Music Updates!!

February 26th, 2008 by wanyic

I haven’t type in the “Music Updates” category for a long period of time, I guess.

And that is because I got no “good” new of music. Well, anyways. Now I do. I got

very good Japanese song called “???????” I got it from Hugo. I heard the

song on his WRETCH. If you want to go to his WRETCH and listen, click here. Try

it out!!

I Hate Science Fair!!!

February 26th, 2008 by wanyic

Oh my gosh!! I definitely hate Science Fair and I also hate James, our science teacher.

dudu3.jpg

Do you know why?? Because we suddenly need to make a POSTER. I just can’t believe it.

And we need to finish it in 2 days. 2 DAYS!!! I started today with Sandy and I bet we can’t

finish it. I want to kill James because he was the one to propose that we make a poster instead

of a powerpoint. The thing that I am angry about is that to make a poster, we need a lot of

time to do it and he told us today!! Also, to make a poster, we need to buy the poster from

Mrs. Tsai and it costs 30 NT and to get the decorations we also need a lot of money and time.

That is why I am so angry. But I am glad my mother let me stay after school until 5 o’clock

yesterday, today, and tomorrow. But it only lasts one hour, because it’s from 4 to 5 o’clock.

I have to try to hide my anger, but if someone really angers me, you know what will happen….

turnturn.gif

So today I learned that I hate my science fair project and Science Fair and James.

Can someone please shoot me and let me die!!!

=_=  =!=  >_<  >_-
